Obituary for Kurt Joseph Clairmont

Laurium September 19, 2014
Kurt Clairmont, 48, a resident of Laurium passed away at his home unexpectedly on Friday September 19, 2014.
He was born on February 11, 1966 in Detroit, to Art and Kay (Bieti) Clairmont.
Kurt graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1984
Kurt worked as a machinist for Formatic in Ripley, for his father at A & K Screw Products in Laurium and was currently employed at Williams Parts and Supply.
On July 6, 2001 he was married to Crystal Peters in the Faith Lutheran Church.
Kurt loved spending time with his family and friends, camping and cooking. He also enjoyed playing hockey and 4 wheeling with the “mind over matter” 4 wheeling club in the past years.
His daughter Sydnee was his pride and joy and he loved and cherished the time they spent together.
Kurt was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet.
Preceding him in death was his father Art.

Daughter: Sydnee at home
Mother: Kay Clairmont (Ted Strieter) of Laurium
Sisters: Kelly (David) Dostaler of Lake Linden Kris (Brian) Tienhaara of Laurium
Father and Mother in law: Rich and Bonnie Peters of Calumet
Many Aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sister in laws, Nieces and nephews
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet with Pastor Peter Vorhes to officiate.
Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet on Saturday from 9-11:00 AM

Kurt will be buried in the Lake View Cemetery on the same grave as his father Art.
