Condolence From: Terri & Jim Simak
Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to Judy's family! She was such a great lady, strong & kind. Always open to conversation, always made you feel welcome. We loved to hear stories of the area & her beloved bar...and we learned so much from her. Will always remember her love of the hummingbirds she fed, and how their beauty gave her such joy. She will be missed by tons of friends! RIP, Judy!

Condolence: Rick & I are so saddened to hear of Judy's passing. We've known Judy, Jerry & the boys for many years. I remember Mike running around the bar with his trucks & Jason playing in his playpen when he was a baby while we sipped our drink & visited with Judy & Jerry. She always had a big smile & a "Hi" when you came in. She & I would chat about recipes, kids, etc while the guys talked about hunting & man talk. She had such a contagious laugh. Many times years ago we'd come to the bar & the family with Grandma would be eating their dinner at the large kitchen table at the end of the bar. Judy or Jerry would come right away to wait on you despite the interruption of their dinner. Those dinners often looked so delicious & smelled just scrumptious. Judy was a great baker & cook. Those are some of my memories that I will hold of her forever. You all are in our thoughts & prayers. God be with you.

Condolence: Sincere condolences to the entire family on Judy’s passing. I have great memories of Judy over the years and always looked forward to our trips to the Keweenaw. Stopping in at Vansville to have an adult beverage, pizza, game of pool (or darts) was always a highlight. But catching up with Judy and Jerry was even better and more meaningful. I will always remember Judy’s laugh and welcoming hugs…..and miss them.
