Martha Schuck, 69, a resident of Calumet passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Lighthouse of Hancock.
She was born on November 28, 1948 in Massachusetts to Theodore and Pauline (Tarleton) Bedore.
She attended the local schools and graduated with the Class of 1966.
She then went on to attend Suomi College and Northern Michigan University, graduated in 1994 with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
After college she worked for Calumet Public Hospital, Cypress Manor, and the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.
Martha was very passionate about caring for elderly people. She loved to paint and create works of art. She had quite the sense of humor.
Martha is preceded in death by her last true love, Harold Balowaara, her parents, her brothers, Eric and Steve, and her sisters, Jean, Judy, Selma, and Laverne.
She is survived by:

Christopher Schuck of South Carolina
Her daughter: Candice Schuck of Calumet
5 grandchildren: Cassandra, Wyatt, John, Madeline, and Gabriel
3 great grandchildren: Hunter, Colton, and Carson
3 brothers: Luke Bedore of Michigan
Joe Bedore of New Jersey
Leonard Bedore of Michigan
Her sister: Teddi Bedore of Michigan
And several nieces and nephews.
Per her request, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
