Obituary for Ronald "Poika" Ylitalo

Ronald APoika@ Ylitalo 63 a resident of Lake Linden passed away on Saturday morning November 18, 2006 at the Portage Health System in Hancock.

He was born on October 15, 1943 in Hancock a son of the late Walfred and Amelia (Biilikangas) Ylitalo.

Ron attended and graduated from the Hancock High School with the class of 1961.

On September 14, 1968 he was married to the former Virginia Lievonen in Laurium.

Ron was employed as a mechanic at John Smith=s in Hancock, Sandy=s in Liminga, City of Hancock, and at Northern Auto until 1987 at which time he went to work at PCI in Hubbell as a millwright until he retired in 2003.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dollar Bay and a former member of the Hancock Athletic Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Elaine Juntunen.

Matthew Ylitalo at home

A Grandson: Austin Ylitalo

Sister: Ruth (Roland) Kyllonen of Hancock

Numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the First Lutheran Church in Dollar Bay with Intern Nicholas Hopman to officiate.
