Obituary for David Zigman

David Zigman 78, a resident of Ahmeek Location passed away following a brief illnesss on Saturday October 29, 2005 at the Florence Villa Nursing Home with his daughter and special friend at his side.

He was born on August 7, 1927 in Calumet a son of the late Ignace and Clara (Voelker) Zigman.

David attended and graduated from the Calumet High School with the class of 1945 and later went on to attended Michigan Tech for a short time.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.

David worked for C&H and was a self employed carpenter for most of his life. He most recently worked for the Keweenaw County Road Commission caring for the gardens and parks until he retired in 2001.

He was and avid hunter, trapper, fisherman, birdwatcher and gardener.

On June 28, 1986 he was married to the former Doris Moilanen and she preceded him in death on February 8, 2002.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother Walter.

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday Novem ber 2, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Our Lady of Peace Church in Ahmeek with Fr. Sebastian to officiate.
