Tamarack Water Works

Minerva E. Yates, 90, a resident of Tamarack Water Works passed away on Thursday morning June 26, 2003 at the Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center in Laurium.

She was born on January 22, 1913 in Hancock a daughter of the late
Elmer & Jennie (Kotila) Marjamaa.

She attended the Calumet High School graduating with the class of 1931.

On January 22, 1934 she married Clarence Yates in Calumet and he preceded her in death on
July 30, 1975.

Minerva made her home in Tamarack Waterworks since 1960.

She was a member of the Calumet United Methodist Church.

Surviving are:

1 Son: Bill (Sharon) Yates of Tamarack Water Works

2 Daughters: Claire (Clifford) Knight of Springhill, Florida
Sandra Yates of Vancouver, Washington

1 Grandson: Chris Yates of San Francisco, California

3 Granddaughters: Lisa Goltz of South Carolina
Penny Jones of Vancouver, Washington
Susan Indergard of Longview, Washington

5 great grandchildren

She will also be sadly missed by her special friends: Paula Jackovich,

Bud Rowe

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 30, 2003 at 10:00 AM in the Erickson-Crowley Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob White to officiate.

Friends may call at the Erickson-Crowley Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00-10:00 AM.

Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
