Calumet
Mamie Vincent, 81, a resident of Calumet passed away on Friday evening February 15, 2002 at her daughter=s home on Old Colony Road.
She was born on March 2, 1920 in Centennial a daughter of the late
Dominic & Mary (Martina) Sandretto.
Mamie attended the Centennial & Calumet Schools graduating in 1986.
She worked on the family farm on Pepin Road for 28 years. She was also a waitress & cook for Pete=s Restaurant & the Bon Ton until retiring in 1976 and making her home on the Lake Linden Hill.
On June 29, 1940 she married Emil Vincent in St. Mary=s Church in Calumet, and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1998.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Church in Lake Linden, where she taught religion class , St. Annes Society, Copper Country Chapter DAV # 27 AUX.
She was preceded in death by her husband Emil, her parents, Daughter Janet Laplander & a sister Angie Boberg.
The family would like to thank Keweenaw Home Nursing & Hospice for the excellent care Mamie received so she could live with her daughter Rita.

Mary (John) King of Lake Linden Hill
10 Grandchildren
22 Great Grandchildren
1 Sister: Violet Sandretto of Calumet
Numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 19, 2002 at11:00 AM in the St. Cecilia Church in Hubbell with Fr. Eric Olson to officiate.
Friends may call at the Erickson-Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet on Monday
February 18, 2002 from 6-9 PM
A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
