October 14, 2009 Centennial Heights
Nancy Carlson, 68, a resident of Centennial Heights passed away Wednesday October 14, 2009 at the Marquette General Hospital following a severe stroke the previous Tuesday.
She was born in Raymbaultown on June 19, 1941 to the late Edwin & Sylvia (Seppala) Pelto. She attended the Calumet Public School. She later went on to become a CNA and for several years she was a nurses aid at Houghton County Medical Care Facility and also did private nursing in the Calumet Laurium area.
On April 5, 1985 she married her long time companion Bruce Carlson, also of Calumet and for the last 25 years they resided in Centennial Heights.
Nancy enjoyed home remodeling, decorating and was also well know for her annual rummage sales. She also enjoyed playing scrabble and spent countless hours playing with her friends and granddaughter. She will be most remembered for being a loving mother to only child Lynn and her two oldest granddaughters Alicia and Jessica and a loving wife to her husband Bruce.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Lori Beth, brother Carl Pelto and a sister Carol LaMothe.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet with the Rev. Paddy Palomaki to officiate.
Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM.

Burial will be in the Waasa Cemetery.
