Joseph W. Eisenman, 83, a resident of Calumet, formerly of Warren, MI, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Home in Hubbell, MI, where he had been a resident since January, 2008.
He was born in Center Line, MI, on August 30, 1926, son of John & Mabel Eisenman.
Joe worked for the U.S. Postal Service, starting at age 17, in Center Line and Warren, and he worked there for 37 years until his retirement.
He was united in marriage to Alice Rozmary on April 28, 1956 and he lived in Warren for over 40 years until moving to Calumet with his wife in 1997 to be with his children and granddaughter.
Joe was a very loving father, grandfather and brother. When he wasn’t working, he loved to spend time listening to Detroit Tiger baseball games, having cookouts, photography, gardening and playing cards. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and he loved to be outdoors with his brothers, brothers-in-law and friends. He will be remembered for his cheerful smile and his great sense of humor.

Joe was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet.
He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, brother and sister-in-law John & Rupane Eisenman, sister Joan, and brothers-in-law Ferdinand Grobbel and John Yasenchak.
He is survived by his daughter Anne (Jerry) Tabor of Calumet, son Paul of Laurium, and granddaughter Veronica, brothers Charles (Pat) Eisenman of Shelby Township and Bro. Daniel Eisenman C.P.P.S. of Carthagena, OH, sisters Delores Grobbel of Warren & Lucille Yasenchak of Eastpointe, brother-in-law Edward (Ellen) Rozmary of Davisburg, MI, two sisters-in-law Marie (Mike) Klim and Joanne (Larry) Doyle, both of Brevard, NC, and numerous nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Church on May 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call at the church from 10:30-11:00 AM
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery in Calumet
