Obituary for James Quello

Laurium

James E. Quello, 81, of Laurium passed away early Monday evening August 16, 1993 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility where he had been a patient for the past nine years.

He was born on March 31, 1912 in Laurium a son of Dominic and Lucia Quella. He had attended the local schools of the area.

He had worked at the Hoyem Bakery and also for Van Ordens Coal Company for many years. He moved to Detroit where he worked for several years for John F. Ivory and also for Cadillac. He sailed on the Great Lakes for several years.

He returned to Laurium where he was the proprietor of the Board of Trade Tavern from 1980 to 1983.

He was an avid baseball player and hunter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Nick on Jan 12, 1993 and AB Quello on September 25, 1985.

He was a member of the Court North Star # 17, Foresters of America.
