Obituary for Wilho A. Isaacson

Wilho A. Isaacson, 77, a former Kearsarge businessman, passed away Sunday morning at the Calumet Public Hospital following a 1 month illness.
He was born on July 17, 1912 in Mohawk a son of the late Hilda & Herman Isaacson. He attended the Mohawk Public Schools. He lived most of his life in Mohawk except for a short time in Chicago and since 1965, he has resided in Kearsarge. He worked for Calumet & Hecla Mining Company as a miner and then operated & owned the Wolverine Meat Market in Kearsarge, retiring in 1974.
He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army during WWII.
On June 19, 1948 he married the former Viola Wertanen in Laurium.
Wilho was a member of the Clyde Johnston Post #230 American Legion of Mohawk. He was also an avid sports fan. He especially loved baseball.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

His wife;
2 daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Diane) Zerby of Minneapolis, MN; and Ms. Marcia Isaacson of Calumet;
3 grandchildren;
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
