Obituary for Anna Matilda Isola

Mrs. Anna Matilda Isola, 88, a former Calumet resident and presently a resident of Fred Glaser Ct. Ontonagon, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Ontonagon Memorial Hospital following an apparent heart attack.
The former Anna Koski was born on June 30, 1901 in Calumet a daughter of the late Justina & Thomas Koski. She was a graduate of Calumet High School with the Class of 1919 and a graduate of Marquette Normal where she received her Teaching Certificate. She lived all of her life in Calumet until 1980 when moving to Ontonagon to make her home. She taught locally in the country schools, and then was employed at the Tamarack Store and worked many years at the Sutinen Family Shoe Store as a Sales Person.
She was married to Norman Isola in December of 1926 in Calumet. He passed away in 1968.
Anna was a member of the National Lutheran Church of Calumet.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Hartley; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
She is survived by:
2 daughters, Mrs. Dorothea (Gordon) Kallunki of Ontonagon; and Mrs. Judith (Robert) Carnahan of Park City, UT;
14 grandchildren;
1 great grandson; and
Several nieces, nephews & cousins.
