Obituary for Joseph Chevalier

October 15, 2013 Calumet
Joseph C. Chevalier, 67, a resident of Calumet passed away early Tuesday morning at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility where he had been a patient for the past week.
He was born September 2, 1946 in Bovine, Michigan a son of Earl & Elina (Kangas) Chevalier. He attended local schools and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He retired from the Calumet Village Street Department in 2010 due to ill health.
On September 6, 1969 Joseph married the former Yvonne Therrian in Houghton.
Joe was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by: brother Rueben Williams and sister, Evie Marlor.
He is survived by:
Wife, Yvonne;
4 Sons- William (Sheri) of Calumet; Stephen of Gwinn; James of Calumet; and Michael (Jessica) of Gwinn;
4 grandchildren – Elizabeth; Kayla; Cody; and Garrett;
1 great grandson- Easton Rylan;
Brother Donald in Detroit
Private family services will be held in the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet .
