Obituary for Mary Ann Zuvich (Stiglich)

Calumet

Mary Ann Zuvich of Calumet, passed away on Christmas day, only 4 days before her 99th birthday.

She was born on December 29, 1915 in Calumet, Michigan to her parents Anton and Mary Stiglich. As a child she attended the Tamarack schools up until the 8th grade.

On January 27, 1940 Mary married her husband Joseph Zuvich in Calumet, he preceded her in death, when he was killed in action on April 18, 1945 during WWII.

She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Gold Star Wives of America, The Croatian Fraternal Union of America Lodge #270 of Ahmeek.

Mary loved to cook, especially Croatian foods, and she enjoyed caring for her flowers and home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers including Tom and Frank, and sister: Ann Karpinen

She is survived by
Her brother; Albert of New Berlin, WI
Her caregiver and nephew Dan “Danny” Stiglich of West Allis
Nephews: Tony Stiglich of St. Charles, MO and David Stiglich of Dousman, WI
And numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins

Friends and family may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 on Monday December 29, and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet with Fr. Abraham Mupparathara to officiate.
