Loren Evanoff, Passed away Sunday March 29, 2015 after a long battle with COPD.

He was born in Chicago, IL on November 13, 1954. He moved to Ahmeek Location in November of 1985. Loren worked at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge for many years. He loved helping and tinkering with electronics, mainly computers. He loved the Keweenaw, and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents: Hjalman & Amanda (Haapala) Johnson, Aunt Peggy (Bob) Jacobson, and Stepfather John Niemi.

Survived by his Spouse of 38 years, Jill Pettit; Mother Jean Niemi, Father John Evanoff; Brothers, Mike (Debbie) Evanoff and their daughter, Tristian, Steven Evanoff, Kris (Nancy) Evanoff, and their children, Max and Madeline; Sister Joanne Evanoff; Aunt Joan Heffelfingers; and Numerous special cousins.

A memorial service will be held on April 13, 2015 the Ahmeek Fire Hall at 6:00 pm.
