Enith M. Juopperi, age 92, a former resident of Laurium and a resident of Woodland Haven passed away on Sunday May 1, 2016.

She was born on May 31, 1923 in Eveleth, Minnesota to Leonard and Hulda (Karvala) Koski.

She was a graduate of Calumet High School with the Class of 1941.

She moved to Detroit in the early 1940’s living in Detroit, Garden City, and 18 years in Cadillac & since 1996 made her home in Laurium.

She loved many sports. Her favorite things to do were to bowling, ice skating, and golfing.

On December 28, 1946 she married Walter Juopperi in Bowling Green, Ohio.

She was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter and sister, Roma Alto.

She is survived by:
2 sons: James (Sandra) Juopperi of Boston Location
Ronald (Lisa) Juopperi of Waterford, Michigan

1 daughter: Janet (Roger) Keskey of Cokato, Minnesota

14 grandchildren

29 great grandchildren
1 Sister: Irma (Jack) Ketola of Mohawk

1 Brother: Karl (Dorothy) Koski of South Lyon, Michigan

Friends may call at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton on Wednesday May 4, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at 11:00 am at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton with Pastor David Taivalkoski to officiate.
