Faith E. Isaacson, 93, a resident of Calumet, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock.

She was born on August 24, 1923 in Calumet to Edward and Elizabeth (Peterson) Nordstrom.

Faith attended the Allouez School and Calumet High School.

Following high school, Faith became a Certified Nurses Aide, and worked for 3 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Hancock.

She was united in marriage to Arthur W. Isaacson.

Faith loved to bake and cook. She enjoyed helping her neighbors out whenever she could. When the holidays rolled around, she would make meals for her neighbors and go out to deliver the meals and sit down and visit with her neighbors.

She had a very gentle soul, and she was very forgiving. When visitors would come over to her house, everyone was greeted with a nice warm hug, and before the visitors left her house, they were sent off with another warm hug.

She was a little on the shy side. Also mom had a great sense of humor once she got to know you. She had the smile of an angel that would just melt anybody's heart.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Arthur W. Isaacson, her parents: Elizabeth and Edward Nordstrom; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

She is survived by:

Eric (Mary) Larson of North Carolina

Great Grandchildren: Chris Aho, Andrew Aho, Emma Kelly, Josh LaCasse, Natalie Lepisto, Tara Lepisto, Abbey Lepisto

Special Friends: Claire Kolemonen “Puffs”, Wanda Erkkila and son Dawson, Joanne Mrosz, Donna Rose White, Uno and Aggie Isaacson

And a few nieces and 1 nephew.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet with Pastor Ken Toth to officiate. Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 11:00 am until the start of the funeral service.
