Barbara Wardwell, 84, a resident of Laurium passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Garden View Assisted Living and Memory Care in Calumet.

She was born on April 6, 1934, in Laurium, to William and Anne (Kaye) Goad.

She attended Calumet High School and graduated with the Class of 1951.

Barb in several different countries during her life, due to work. She returned to Calumet in 2004 to be by her sister.

On July 24, 1954, she married Jerome Wardwell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Anne, her brother, William, her sisters, Eleanor, and Pauline, and her son, Steven.

She is survived by:

Michael (Anne) Wardwell of West Virginia
Jay R (Pamela) Wardwell of West Virginia
Her daughters: Anne (Mike) Sayre of West Virginia
Pauline Keiser of West Virginia
Pamela (Jim) Rizzo of New York

17 grandchildren
2 great grandchildren

And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Per Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and private family services will be held at a future time.

Burial will take place in the Lake View Cemetery.
