Thinking about you especially on this day of days, as you experience your Home Going with your immediate family and Keweenaw friends. I so wish I could be there with you and all of those who will be there to celebrate your life. There will be a grand celebration going on in heaven as your life is celebrated here, you know. You liked to pretend you were a curmudgeon, but we all saw through that with the kindness, generosity and smiles you strew around with abandon everywhere you went. I will miss our telephone conversations, and trips to the UP to visit you, and your willingness to drop everything to welcome me, and then Mary and I on our visits to see you throughout your stay in the Keweenaw. Hiking in the Porkies, and through the forest on the way to Montreal Falls and so many other places; your knowledge of, and willingness to share the geology of your adopted home all lay on my heart especially today. While I know that our time here has ended, I know that you'll be exploring heaven so that when I get there, you'll show me the most beautiful water falls, and hiking trails anyone would ever want to see. Go easy into your new life, little brother, I love you forever. Barb

The memory of our trekking throughout the Keweenaw will always be in my heart. Whether over the mountains or on the shore of Superior to find those illusive Montreal River falls. I so enjoyed our time together and you will forever be missed and in my heart. I love you little bro. Mary

We are so saddened by the loss of our coworker and friend Joe. Joe never was at a loss for a kind hello, a smile or a lifesaver when he work at the hospital. No matter what kind of day you were having , Joe brought a little bit of sunshine to it just by taking time to say hello . He always wished everyone a good day, or evening and you knew he truly meant it! Staff and patients alike loved Joe. Our sympathies are with Andrea and his family . You will be missed Joe.

How saddened we were to hear of Joe’s passing... our hearts are broken. Steve loved working with Joe as Joe “ was one of a kind”. Soft spoken, reliable, honest, someone Steve could count on. Steve often said” I Could never find another guy like Joe!” I too loved working with Joe....he was a wonderful guy....
he will be greatly missed~
Our sympathies to all of Joe’s family~
