Maureen Kupari, 75, a resident of Rice Lake Road passed away on Monday July 8, 2019 at her home.
She was born on May 7, 1944 in Maryland to Ward and Maxine (Peterson) Fleharty. She attended the local schools.
Maureen loved animals, but she held a special place in her heart for horses. Often you would find her riding her horses in the 4th of July parades and at local county fair shows.
She was a very kind and caring person. She would do anything for anyone and ask for nothing in return.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ward and Maxine Fleharty.
She is survived by:
Her life companion: Roger Kargela of Lake Linden
Her children: Sherri Southern, Doreen Southern-Harris, George “Buddy” Southern, and Mike Kupari
Her brother and sisters: Ward, Colleen, and Kathleen
Along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private graveside service took place in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet in Section 76.
