He was born on the family farm in Iron Belt, Wisconsin on November 16, 1929 to Anton and Angeline (Suino) Perrero. He taught in Cudahy, Wisconsin and Iron Belt before teaching chemistry and physical science at Calumet High School for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He was affectionately known by his students as “Doc”.

On October 11, 1958 he was united in marriage to Elaine Rosaleen “Bunny” Karinen. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.
