Obituary for Beverly Ann Prieskorn

Beverly A. Prieskorn, 80, a resident of Marquette and formerly of Calumet passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 22, 1942 in Detroit to Arthur and Arlo (Umbreit) Prieskorn. She attended the local schools and graduated from Michigan Center High School with Class of 1960.

Beverly worked in the Registrars office at Michigan Technological University for 25 years, retiring in 2001.

She had a passion for music and theater. She was a member of the Copper Country Chorale, which is now known as Noteworthy, and was also a member of the Calumet Players where she participated in many different musicals and shows at the Calumet Theater. She was an active volunteer at the Calumet Theater serving as an usher and in the box office.

She enjoyed travelling and driving. Every year while her kids were growing up she took them on several trips all over the United States.
She loved scrapbooking, painting and anything with crafts! She was an avid painter and has sold several portraits. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Arlo Prieskorn and her step-daughter Sheila Crudele.

Grandchildren: Brendan Little, Blake (Courtenay) Nelson, Grant Little, Devin Schmitt, Jed (Stephanie) Little, Christina (Ty) (Hinnant, Matthew (Brittney) Crudele, Chelsea Crudele, Angela DuBord, Natalie DuBord, Hunter Verran, Kloe Verran, Megan (Bob) Elsey, Morgan Almberg, Richard Almberg, Christopher LaBar and Cassidy Labar

Great Grandchildren: Everly Nelson, Emery Little, Mason Hinnart, Harper Hinnart, Lily Little, David Elsey, Aaron Elsey, Dominick Schmitt. And numerous nieces and nephews.

Her very best friend of 49years, Jean Cygan.

A memorial service will be held at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will take place from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
