Elizabeth “Bette Ann” Harter, 84, a resident of Calumet passed away at her home on Tuesday June 16, 2015.
She was born on February 22, 1931 in Calumet a daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Stimac) Tarvis.
She graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1948.
On June 25, 1949 she married Robert Harter in St. Johns Church in Calumet.
Bette and her family owned and operated Harter Party Store in Calumet; she worked up until a few years ago until her health would not allow her to.
Some of Bette’s interests included baking, knitting, sewing, building puzzles, berry picking and watching the Detroit Red Wings. She also cherished her time spent with family at the camp on Lake Superior.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother Ralph Tarvis.
She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday June 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet with Fr. Abraham Mupparathara to officiate and Deacon Art Stancher to assist.
Burial will be in the Waasa Cemetery.
