Mrs. Armando Zei, 67, a lifelong Copper Country resident, passed away early Sunday morning at the Calumet Public Hospital where she was a patient for 3 weeks.
The former Eleanor Dimmer was born in Gay on July 10, 1916, a daughter of Ethel and Charles Dimmer. As a child she moved to make her home in Laurium. She was a graduate of the Sacred Heart High School.
She had worked for a few years as a dental assistant for Dr. Robert Anthony in Laurium.
On October 16, 1937 she was married to Amondo Zei at the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.
Mrs. Zei was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, the Altar Society of the Church, the Calumet-Laurium Garden Club, the C L K Senior Citizens Center and A.A.R.P.
Her mother-in-law, Mrs. Dina Zei, passed away on Nov. 19, 1983.
Surviving are her husband

2 grandchildren, Debbie and David of Lauriussm
1 sister, Mrs. Otto (Lucille) Stenson of Calumet
1 brother, Charles Dimmer of Seminole, Florida
Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the C-L-K Religious Center in Calumet by Father Casper Gensler. Spring burial to be in the Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Erickson-Crowley Funeral Home from 2 to 5 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday. A parish prayer service will be held at 4 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
